Last summer, I asked you for your opinions about the summer Mass schedule for the months of July and August.  I thank those who responded.  The overwhelming majority of people who responded asked that the 7:30 Sunday morning Mass remain, other than that no one had difficulty with Mass changes.  During the summer months, many of our parishioners go away for the summer or, a good part of it, we don’t need to offer all the Masses. 
So, after consulting with some of our parishioners and staff, the summer Mass schedule from the 5^th of July to the 30^th of August will be:
4:30PM Saturday evening; Sunday 7:30AM, 9:30AM, 11:30AM and 5:30PM Sunday evening.  Just remember: Masses start on the half-hour.
 

Archbishop Hicks and our Seminary have determined, we are such a good parish family, they are entrusting to us a seminarian for the summer months to mentor.  Deacon Mark Fanelli will be with us from 18^th May to 12^th July.  Mark is a Permanent Deacon and is now studying to be a priest.  He needs to complete some classes in Philosophy and Theology.  We look forward to welcoming Deacon Fanelli to St. Margaret’s.  So, we need to be on our best behavior, for at least two months!! (only kidding)
 
Today is known as Good Shepherd Sunday because of the theme of the Gospel.  It is also World Day of Prayer for Vocations, instituted by Pope St. Paul VI in 1964. On this Sunday, we are encouraged to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our parish has been blessed with several vocations to the priesthood, and religious life over the years. Three girls went on to become Religious Sisters, one of our young men became a brother and last year, Fr. Coleman has joined the other priest-vocations from our parish:  
Frs. Ronald a Salvatorian, David Riley, John McIvor, John Vigilianti, Andrew Carrozza, 
Joseph Fallon, Brian Taylor, and Michael Coleman.  
 
I invite us to particularly pray today that young men may listen attentively to the call of Christ in their hearts to dedicate their lives to the service of God as ordained Catholic priests. I also invite you to earnestly pray for young women to discern the voice of God in their hearts to consider serving God and His Church through the various charisms of the Church in the consecrated life. 
 
I challenge you this week, to consider speaking to just one young person you know, to think about a possible vocation to priesthood, or consecrated life.  God has not stopped calling men to priestly vocation and women to consecrated life. People have allowed themselves to be distracted by worldly desires.
